Brass, 24K Gold Filled
made by Océanne, a Black woman owned business. more about them in their own words:
Océanne is a line of minimalist modern jewelry by French/American designer Anne Harrill. With an aesthetic that merges both the maker utility of the rustbelt and the enduring beauty of French design, Océanne is a tribute to Anne’s childhood in France and her journey to the American Midwest.
Inspired by life’s small pleasures and made for your everyday, each piece is designed with a focus on craftsmanship, comfort and functional beauty. Geometric and minimalistic metalworking, minerals, stones and natural fibers and conversational phrases are elements in our designs. With great attention to detail, each piece is made by hand using traditional techniques such as forging, stamping, filing, torching and assembling vintage and curated materials.
All jewelry is handmade in their Cleveland studio.
Gold filled pieces are water-safe and can maintain color for up to 2-3 years with good upkeep. This does not mean that they are not 100% tarnish resistant. Gold filled pieces can lose their color if exposed to stripping chemicals. To prolong the wear of your pieces, remove before showering, swimming, etc.
